AiSW3201 Otoacoustic Emissions Screener (Type 2)

Utilizes TEOAE and DPOAE technologies, suitable for newborn hearing screening, as well as hearing assessments for infants and adults.

The AiSW3201 Otoacoustic Emissions Screener utilizes TEOAE and DPOAE technologies. A speaker in the probe transmits stimuli of specific intensity and frequency into the ear. These stimuli cause the cochlea to generate spontaneous otoacoustic emissions, which are then transmitted through the ossicles and tympanic membrane and released into the external auditory canal. The probe's microphone measures the intensity of the otoacoustic emissions in the external auditory canal. By analyzing the measured otoacoustic emission intensity, the cochlear mechanism is assessed, and it is determined whether the cochlear function is normal, thereby achieving the purpose of hearing screening. It is suitable for newborn hearing screening, as well as hearing assessments for infants and adults. The product consists of a main unit, probe and charger. The product complies with the Type 2 (screening) of IEC 60645-6:2022Electroacoustics - Audiometric equipment - Part 6: Instruments for the measurement of otoacoustic emissions.
